Where Have All The Men Gone
I have found that there a so many issues that need to be addressed in the Church today.
Not just in the Methodist church but in all Christian churches. I have realized that one need
is to get Men back into church. Most congregations will have from 60% to 75% of Sunday
service consisting of woman. We used to have congregations that were made up of at least half
men. Why have they left and where did they go? I have tried to address this issue in this book.
We have got to make church more friendly and comfortable for men. Many men feel that the
Church has become feminine.
Think about your church for a minute. What impression will a 25 year old construction
worker have when he inters your church for the fi rst time? Do the men in your church welcome
fi rst time men visitors? Are there activities in your church that this 25 year old construction
worker can get involved in?
There are many questions that need to be answered by us in our quest to regain the male
presence that has become a missing part of our church today. I hope that this book will get
some of you to try to answer these questions and start on the path to returning men back to
Church. It will certainly make our churches stronger.
