Each short story was entered into amateur writing contests. His international opera singer parents were important inspirations. As in his novels, 'When Women Ruled', 'Little Fish of Notting Hill', and 'Dagger of Aduiltery', Mario highlighted the most important rule of writing, which is to always be genuine and original.
