About the Author

Teresa Marie Warwick´s Bio
Teresa Marie Warwick was born in the early 1970s in Port Richmond, Philadelphia. Teresa grew up in a neighborhood where people did not lock their doors. She never needed a key to the house until she started high school. Teresa's parents, Edward and Sophie, both worked in factories when she was young. There were no daycares at the time, so her father worked days and her mother worked nights. Teresa says there were no microwaves, so her mother would make sure dinner was cooked by 3 pm or 3:30 pm so that the entire family could eat the meal together while it was still hot. We always ate as a family at the table so we could talk about our day at school or my dad's day at work. After dinner was done, my mom would work her night job. My mother and father valued the importance of eating together as a family. If a phone rang at dinnertime, no one would answer, and there was no television or radio on. We all sat at the table together, regardless of who finished their meal first. My mother valued the time we spent together every day, whether it's half an hour or an hour, even on weekends.
Teresa would always write short stories or poems because she didn't fit in with the other youngsters in her neighborhood. She created short stories and wrote daily to help her cope with many situations in her life. Writing was her way of coping with reality as a teenager. The majority of these short stories were never disclosed to anyone. When Teresa reached her late thirties or early 40s, she finally shared her stories with some friends and family. In 2014, she published her first book.
