If we juxtaposed our lives to a road, it is safe to say our lives have more lanes, highs, lows and construction than the most sophisticated interstate system. Life is not simply a straight road. The bends, potholes, signs, sudden turns and the texture of life's road itself are what shape our person, strengthen our character and resolve and lead purpose toward our lives. Life itself is unpredictable. In the midst of unpredictability one thing is constant: God is with us on every road, even the wrong roads, endeavoring to lead us to and sometimes lead us back to our divine purpose for living.

George Lewis Parks, Jr. currently serves as the Senior Pastor of the New Hope Baptist Church, with two campuses in North Little Rock and Conway, Arkansas, a faith community that is committed to “Building Faith and Sharing Love.” Dr. Parks holds degrees from American Baptist College, Howard University School of Divinity and Union University School of Theology and Missions. In addition to leading two campuses Pastor Parks has been blessed with a calling for itinerant preaching and leading seminars on leadership, church development and enhancement and preaching. Pastor Parks serves on a number of boards for colleges and community organizations. His greatest gift on earth is his wife Joy and their four growing children, George III, Genesis and twin boys Gabriel and Grayson.
