Having served as a pastor for nearly twenty-five years, Dr. Richard Exley (awarded the Doctorate of Divinity honoris causae on January 21, 2003 for a life’s work of ministry and writing by the Joint Academic Commission of the Methodist Episcopal Church USA and the National Clergy Council Board of Scholars) understands the vital ministry and unique needs of the local church. During his twelve years as Senior Pastor of Christian Chapel in Tulsa, Oklahoma, (1980-1992) the church grew from a struggling congregation of less than 100 members to a thriving fellowship numbering nearly a 1000.
