About the Author

TOM WRIGHT is the Bishop of Durham. He has taught New Testament studies at Oxford, Cambridge and McGill Universities. A prolific author, his recent books include The Meal Jesus Gave Us (Hodder&Stoughton) and Matthew for Everyone (SPCK), which won 'Reference Book of the Year' at CBC 2003.
Tom Wright is bishop of Durham and a biblical scholar of international standing. Formerly a full-time tutor in New Testament Studies at Oxford, Cambridge and McGill universities, he is one of a handful of scholars at the forefront of research into the historical Jesus.
