Overview

About the Author

Efrain Garcia is a retired US. Postal Service family man. In 1970, he immigrated to the United States and married Magdalena, who had been a migrant since the age of fourteen. He is the father of three children, Efrain Jr, Osvaldo, and Gabriela, and he is also the grandfather of five grandchildren.
Efrain finished high school in Mexico and completed his degree in business administration in the United States; he has always had a passion for writing and telling children's stories. He would often narrate his stories to his own children during their childhood. They al ways waited anxiously and impatient to hear their dad's new story. He is passionate about sports, especially soccer and baseball; he is a fan of the Chicago Bears, White Sox, and Bulls.
During his career, Efrain pursued his passion for Italian cuisine and was a chef at Baroness, an Italian restaurant chain, in the late 1970s. Today, he still enjoys cooking.
