While Tommy went to rescue a close childhood friend in the South Tower, Martin helped lead a group of survivors to safety. The events of that day and the months that followed cemented their bond and led them to bring to life a vision Thomas had, a dream in which he imagined, “What if Jesus were a firefighter?” This book is the manifestation of their desire to bring light from the darkness that occurred on 9/11.

Martin E. Coleman, cofounder and author, is a school administrator and teacher in New York City’s public school system. A native of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, Martin is a graduate of Lehigh University, Rider University, and Hunter College. He is an accomplished outdoorsman, climber and photographer. He lives in New York City with his wife.

Thomas J. Vito, cofounder and visionary, was an executive at Computer Associates prior to building a successful entrepreneurial career as a full licensed financial planner. He serves on the Executive Board of the Hauppauge Soccer League in Long Island, New York. A graduate of St. Anthony’s High School in South Huntington, New York, he lives with his wife and two sons on Long Island.
