About the Author

Rick Schostek is the parent of a son with autism and an advocate for all people with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, he has served as President of the Central Ohio Chapter of the Autism Society of America, and on the boards of the Autism Society of Ohio and the Autism Society of Alabama. He was a member of the Ohio Governor's Autism Task Force and the Franklin County (Ohio) Board of Developmental Disabilities. He also served on the boards of Creative Housing and Talladega College.
