About the Author

Author R. Merial Martin is a retired oil company marketer. He has authored "Deterrent", "The WRIT", "POW Love Story", and "Welford Street Miracles". He is an avid golfer, hunter, and senior bowler on the Ebonite SASBA Tour. He is a devoted father and grandfather and loving husband to Catherine. He is a sixteen year member of The Woodlands Church on the Fellowship Campus. His motto is, " I write so that you might read".

I was amazed with the arrival of the stranger, I cried when the selfishness of man prevailed, I was angry at the conditions you/he had to live in and the struggles and sacrifices that you all endured.
