For example, in April 2011, Pastor Kurt delivered his Palm Sunday sermon entitled "Two Parades Then, Two Parades Now." Pastor Kurt presented a viewpoint of Pilate's parade entering Jerusalem from the west and Jesus' parade entering Jerusalem from the "opposite side of town." What a riveting comparison! The description of the pageantry of Pilate's parade, juxtaposed against Jesus' humble parade, and Pastor's relation to current events, provided a thought- provoking and deeply moving experience. About the Author

Kurt Jacobson grew up in Rice Lake, Wisconsin. He holds a Bachelor of Art degree from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota, with a double major in Business/Hospital Administration and Organizational Communications. He holds a Masters of Divinity degree from Luther Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota. He served a year-long internship under Pastor Michael Button at Faith Lutheran Church, in Dickinson, Texas. Ordained into the Ministry of Word and Sacrament of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, Pastor Jacobson was called to serve Trinity Lutheran Church, in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, beginning in June 1988. In June 1999, he was installed as Lead Pastor. He retired from Trinity Lutheran Church in 2016.
