Quirky pet-portrait artist Ginny has fallen for dependable nine-to-fiver Jeff. Though she and her daughter, Harri, were cozy in their Queens apartment, Ginny agrees to move into Jeff's suburban New Jersey neighborhood and is suddenly navigating a world of parent-teacher fundraisers, power walking, and pushy socialites. Though she wants to be true to herself, being unique begins to have devastating consequences for her preteen daughter. For Harri's sake, can Ginny learn to navigate this new social stratum?
