About the Author

Having a Master’s degree in social work from Columbia University, Maggie Laventure moved to the US from Haiti in 1992, where she started high school the same year. She earned an associate degree in human services/mental health from LaGuardia Community College in 2001. She further studied psychology and sociology at Queen’s College, where she was able to earn a dual baccalaureate degree in both majors.
She possesses an impeccable background in social services, with over twenty years of working experience in the field as an employee of the Human Services Administration, where she accumulated excellent client and customer service skills.
Maggie is now married and is living a happy and prosperous life with her husband and two lovely daughters.
