We Were Gods Before We Fell
"I would have let my heart be broken a thousand times to love him for a minute, but this was never the love I asked for."
Odessa Jones was left to walk the streets of Philadelphia alone from a bar one night, but little did she know that night would change the rest of her life. She meets Wren, who is too cocky and secretive for his own good. After a night out on the town with her friends for Halloween, Odessa ends up in a split situation. Will she give up her morals for a strange connection to someone she barely knows but seems to be there at all the right times or will she move on with her life as though nothing happened?
In a story of love, heartache, and loss you see two groups of friends find family and love in each other. But will that the love withstand the measures it is put to the test?
Wren is the leader of an underground mafia roaming through the city. Odessa is an aspiring author. One night while Odessa is walking home from her monthly night of being coerced to the club by her roommates, she began to get followed by a tall man with deep hair. The next day while working a shift at a local bookstore she can't seem to escape this man. His voice, his presence, his touch, even his smell. What she didn't know is that she was going to be completely and utterly consumed by his everything. With love in the air and a war contract on the table, Odessa has to make a choice between love and others lives.
