Overview

Water through Fingers is collection of haiku inspired by a backpacking trek across the Sierra Nevada mountains on the High Sierra and John Muir trails. The entire hike took place in deep wilderness and the haiku capture essential feelings and realizations about such an intense journey. Each haiku is accompanied by black and white photographs of the Sierra and elucidated by poetic prose essays. The volume also contains a foreword essay and an afterword about the trail itself. This is a lush photographic and poetic experience with over 25 black and white photographs.
