Water Skiing For All
To say that anyone from seven to seventy can water ski is a trite phrase, but a true one. At the time I was associated with the Miami Beach Ski Club, we taught a man of sixty-seven to jump. We also had a boy of seven who jumped. Jumping is one of the most difficult forms of skiing, but these two extreme ages learned it and learned it well.
When you first get up on skis you will feel free as a bird. Few thrills can compare with that of gliding over smooth water on a pair of skis, and you'll find few sports more exciting than jumping and trick riding.
Some people think skiing is a difficult and dangerous sport. It looks difficult, but is not; and the chances of being hurt in a fall are almost nonexistent.
Once you start skiing, it is certain to get in your blood. In some cases it becomes more than a hobby —it becomes an obsession. I cannot think of a more pleasant obsession.
