Some may see immortality as a gift, but Seth Moncrief is not one of those people. He lives on alone rather than ever have to tell anyone else goodbye, until the day he's pulled out into the world by a desire he can't explain, where he meets Erica, the answer to his prayers and embodiment of his fears. He knows being with her will end badly, but he has no idea how devastating it will be if he's the one to cause her death, or if the evil trailing him will do it for him.
