Overview

Often times, you might find yourself secretly tempted to wonder if some hearts are meant to only stop at crushing, and thereafter remain broken, without ever really finding their rightful place within the unbounded domain of this long-craved thing called 'Love'.
And then while you're still trapped in that protracting muse, "Voices Of May" somehow comes into the scene, and portrays such a strong, emotive blend of poetry that transcends through the sentiments of love, unlove, regret and hope (Although not necessarily in that order)_ just in time to sort of affirm those very surreptitious convictions.

About the Author

Mar'Kata Rhaimes is a Computer Science granduate from Makerere University (Kampala - Uganda). He co-authored with 7 other writers in a poetry-and prose anthology titled "The River Banks", published under a writers' initiative called PENit, in August 2016. He's since featured on several performance-poetry platforms in and around Kampala. So far he's been performing spoken word poetry under different poetry groups like PENit, Ladu Poetry, WordSmiths UG, The Brush, and currently Engelo420. Lately he started attempting to add motivational speaking, song writing and music recording to his literary adventures.

When his glare is not stuck onto a laptop or smartphone screen, he's either hanging out with old friends and/or acquaintances, laughing profusely at another silly joke crafted or narrated by one or both of his 2 young brothers, melting off a long week's heavy heart with a Friday-evening 10KM run, fantasizing about the future or his secret crush, or just quietly figuring out what next to do with his time.
