This special volume an eloquent and fitting tribute to Dr. Nair’s depth of eminence and multifaceted contributions to the field of Palynology in general and Indian Palynology in particular, well known palynologists were invited to contribute their research articles. Almost all the invitees accepted our invitations gracefully and sent their manuscripts promptly on myriad aspects of palynology, notwithstanding the temporal constraints faced by them. 29 articles under seven sections contributed by 56 authors and catering to alomst all aspects of palynology viz., actuopalynology including SEM studies (7), pollen physiology and biotechnology (6), palaeopalynology (2), pollination biology and ecology (6) melittopalynology (3), palynology and cytogenetics (3) and aeropalynology (2) have been incorporated in this volume.
