About the Author

Denise McGuire-Eddy lives in Garden City, Missouri with her husband and two children. She spends many happy hours in her basement studio writing and painting with watercolors.
Denise grew up in rural Mercer County, Missouri on a farm outside of Cainsville, and went to school at Princeton R-5, Princeton, Missouri. Growing up, life seemed dull and hard because there were chores to do after school and very little running around with friends on the weekends. Fun consisted of exploring creeks for interesting rocks with her little brother, the carnival that came to town every summer, and sledding down the monster hill by their house. Looking back now, it sure was a great childhood. Art was always important in those years but was put aside when the demands of child rearing and a mortgage took over. Now in middle age, art and its expression and the joy it brings are once again front and center.
