Overview

Kyle Barkner, a sixteen-year-old troubled teenager who struggles to live by the side of his broken family and overcome the influences of the darkness that feeds on his pain. He is a boy who only wants to figure out his purpose for living each of his days, and rediscover the love his family once shared. Wants that grow from his past filled with dark secrets, haunting guilt, and countless mistakes. A past that threatens to take everything from him if nothing is done to fix what broke so long ago. Obstacles that become more apparent when a deadly plane crash leaves him, his two siblings, Danny and Cidny, and three other teenagers stranded in unknown territory.

A struggle to survive and a mission to return home arises. An effort that's only made impossible as suspicions about the true nature of the plane crash surface and reveal a conspiracy that seeks to assassinate Kyle and his family, creating enemies that breathe the same air as he. Love for a girl whom he believes has a hand in his family's demise leads to travels along dangerous roads, inside and out. And the harsh elements and limited supplies take a backseat to allow the deception among the group and the degrading bonds of family to become their worst enemy, if not death itself.

Each decision Kyle makes to solve the puzzle of who aspires against his family and walks among them will either lead him deeper into the confliction between his wants and the bond between his family and the guilt that he cannot overcome. Or result in a salvation that he loses hope in with each passing day.
