About the Author

Dr. J. B. Turner, a Vietnam veteran since age 18, grew up in the shadow of his great hero image, the incomparable Eric England. Dr. Turner was an Army medic in Vietnam from 1971 to 1972, and survived the horrendous Easter Offensive of the NVA. After Carlos Hathcock came to literary fame, he and his wife Jo helped Dr. Turner get started on his book about Eric, a dream he had for many years.
