About the Author

Helen Northcott, RPN, Bth, MA, CCC Helen is self employed and has operated her business Choose A Lifestyle since 1998. She has a Master of Arts degree specializing in temperate living along with a Master of Arts degree in Christian counselling. She is a Registered Practical Nurse and has practiced in Ontario since 1985. She is also an Addiction Counsellor and enjoys sharing the benefits of a lifestyle free of all addictions. Helen has a Vegetarian Nutrition Instructors Certificate and enjoys teaching the benefits of a vegetarian lifestyle. She has taught cooking classes in Canada, United States and Indonesia. Since 1971 Helen has chosen not to eat meat, fish or fowl and very little dairy products. Her business began with teaching vegetarian cooking classes in Toronto to help people lower their cholesterol intake. The evidence is conclusive that whatever we put into our mouths will affect us physiologically, psychologically, socially and spiritually. Helen believes everyone is responsible for their thoughts and behaviours that are either disturbed or enhanced by their dietary choices. Linda Butt, B.Th., B.E. Linda has a Bachelor of Education degree, and is educated in nutrition. She teaches in various elementary schools with the Toronto District School Board, the Peel District School Board and operates a private tutoring business. Linda has taught vegan cooking classes in Ontario and British Columbia. Linda's desire to help others eat healthfully has led to the creation of this cookbook. Many of her cooking students have requested a book with nutritional, tasty and easy to use vegetarian recipes. As a result she is excited to present this cookbook to all those desiring good, nutritious meals and a healthier family.
