About the Author

Liz Olson, a native of Minnesota, has served on the Long Lake City Council & Planning Commission and as a Board Member of the Western Hennepin County Pioneers Association. Educated at the College of St. Benedict, she spread her wings and traveled the world. After making nests in Telluride and Vail, she migrated to San Francisco, CA, and worked at Unique Adventures, writing travel itineraries and guiding tours to South America. Missing the change of seasons and the scent of lilacs in the spring, she returned to Minnesota and now lives in the home purchased by her great-grandfather in 1892.
