Urban Girl Chronicles: Love & Loyalty is one of a short series of fiction inspired urban novels that tells a story of a young African American girl named Mariah, who was born in the streets of Oakland, California. Mariah's life has been a constant struggle since she can remember. At a young age, she began to write her thoughts in her diary to release some of her anger towards life. At the age of twenty-one she had a crack addicted mother, she had been raped, she was homeless, a stripper, and had attempted suicide. After all her struggles as a child, she lived her life on the edge as an adult. She always put others before herself in hopes of loyalty in return. But will she realize loyalty and love can't be brought, taught or will it be too late?

Author Bio: Tye Downing was born and raised in Trenton, New Jersey. She currently resides in Florida where she is writing a series of independent novels particularly Urban Girl Chronicles II & III. Her hobbies includes watching old television shows, HGTV, and The History II channel, online shopping, eating, and talking to her mother. Her goal is to turn her novels into independent films. She also has a number of independent projects taking place soon.
