About the Author

In 1986 Sam and Ginny retired to Longboat Key, Fla., where they were active in the community, sailed their Krogen 38 Cutter, Trilogy, and later cruised aboard a Grand Banks 36 and a Hatteras 42, both power yachts also named Trilogy, with their
numerous friends from the Bird Key Yacht Club. They always got along well, even on a boat! Sam and Ginny were married 62 years. Ginny passed away from cancer in 2010. Sam moved to Cape Coral, Fla., in 2011. He passed away July 4, 2012.
