About the Author

Hakeem Ibikunle Tijani is a professor and the founding Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Education at Adeleke University, Ede, Osun State, Nigeria. He was formerly a professor of African history at Baylor University. He is the general secretary of Nigeria Studies Association and serves as the book review editor of Journal of Nigerian Studies.
