About the Author

Rodney Billingsley is the author behind the pen name,
Thomas Long. Rodney’s life is filled with experiences that drive his passion, and storytelling.
He is a 40-year-old father of two beautiful kids who loves to cook and cater small events. Outside activities are his favorite past time, mostly softball, hiking, and travelling.
In 1998, at the age of 18, he joined the Armed Forces. He completed his military career with an honorable discharge in 2001. Shortly thereafter, a severe back injury required a major surgery. The procedure was a success but within a month, Rodney was addicted to his pain medication, which in hindsight, was the beginning of his downward spiral. This habit evolved from using to selling pain medication then selling even harder drugs.
Rodney was ultimately arrested and sentenced to 3 years in prison with 7 years of probation. Since his release, he has reentered society as an upstanding citizen with an amazing story to tell.
