Jazzy Mitchell is a storyteller in many forms: writer, educator, editor, attorney—she tells stories, breaking down complex ideas in understandable, interesting ways. She taught English in the public schools of her hometown for a decade, giving back to the system that had helped her so much. During that time, she trained and encouraged countless students to write poetry and explore their artistic sides. She likes to recount how law school drove the artist out of her, but over time her artistic instincts reasserted themselves.

Besides writing, Jazzy Mitchell is the proud publisher of Launch Point Press and Vice President of the founding executive board for OPUS Literary Alliance.

Maggie is far from perfect, she has made mistakes on her way, she has unknowingly but undeniably used people to reach her goal. She doesn't shy from that responsibility, and that's something I love about her. She's also loyal and fair. Her relationship with her brother is a perfect example of that. Would I vote for Maggie Ambrose? Yes, absolutely.
