1. Every citizen should have at least elementary knowledge about how the political systems were created and work. There are no such books yet. That is why this book was written.
2. Politics is exercised on various societal levels, from clans and tribes, pre-agricultural societies to modern governments. The art of ruling was the base of politics. The book focuses on the methods and tools of politics, their development and perfection in the process of societal progress. The material of existing books is not persuasive.
3. Various political methods are explained based on psychological principles of motivation affecting human behavior. The criterion approach is used to explain the behavior of politicians. In contrast to the existing books on politics this book shows how efficient political methods can influence voters behavior.
4. Most existing books about politics use historical material which alone is insufficient to explain changes in political methods and especially political tools. This book considers in details methods and tools used in politics, their development and efficiency. However, the changes in American society have nothing common with Marx's theory. Now nobody reads Marx and the reasons of the polarization are different.
