About the Author

The author of this book is a native of Haiti. He grew up in New York and received most of his proper education in the United States. As a young boy growing up, his passion was to make sure he left something behind that people could read and educate themselves. Theodore Robert Regis is the author of this book and is proud of his background. Regis has accomplished everything anyone can think of in America. In 1988, he completed his high school work and moved on to go to college. In 1996, he went on to receive a degree in Religion and a minor in Social Work from Oakwood College, (now University). In 2002, he received a certificate in computer technology from the New York Institute of Technology. In 2003, he went on to receive his master’s degree in Science of Education, Linguistics, and English from the College of New Rochelle, NY. He also did not stop there. In 2014, he received his Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from Keiser University, Florida. In 2004, Regis was placed in Who’s Who among college students in America.
Dr. Regis is a devoted father and husband who loves his family. He spends most of his time writing and researching. He is encouraged by his family to get better health and continue to make a difference in society. He is also a part-time investor in real estate. He is also the owner of the patent-pending non-provisional; as an inventor, his dream has always been to create something new for the world.
Dr. Regis is a visiting professor at DeVry University and is currently a high school English teacher at Westover University in North Carolina. His work ethic and success are exemplified. He teaches junior- and senior-year students. He has been teaching for nearly 25 years, and he is a veteran educator.
In the past years, he has published many articles and many books, including one children’s storybook. He has received hundreds of rewards and certificates throughout his teaching career and professional life. He loves teaching, and his passion is to remain a teacher until his last day of life.
Finally, Dr. Regis welcomes students of Haitian descent and Caribbean cross-cultural high school students who have an interest in attending college in the United States to participate in a scholarship screening and receive a scholarship from the Dr. Theodore Regis Foundation. This scholarship will be awarded to those who qualify and meet the requirements.
