About the Author

I am a Licensed Real Estate Broker by trade but I love to write, sing and perform.
I love to write. These poems reflect my life, the things I’ve been through. Street Corner Blues for example is a story of why I feel like a motherless child. The Ghetto is a poem to help those who have never lived in the ghetto to develop a sensitivity for the black race. The Plantation is a story of my job experiences. You Say You Fed Up, I Say Shut Up is about my experience on a NYC train ride. Some poems reflect my militant days and some poetry is fun poetry.
`In addition to this book, I’ve also written an inspirational poetry book, a Luv Poetry book and an Street Corner Blues Poetry book. There’s a CD for each of these books. I have some audio books, some religious and some real estate books available for sale now as well as plays and children’s books.
I hope you enjoy these poems and raps were written out of my life’s’ experiences growing up in Harlem, NYC., and the lives of some of my relatives back in the 70's and 80's. Life was harder for them than it was for me because they ran the streets a lot more than I did. It was easier and safer for me to work for a living.
We moved to NJ when I was a teenager. But I was not inspired to write about those experiences until I relocated to Western New York some years later. The poems in NYC were far and few in between. Works in progress include a CD and Video of this book.
