About the Author

About the Author Frances (Fran) Pehowich is a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She has volunteered numerous hours in teaching religious education to youngsters both in New York and New Jersey. Also, for over 25 years, Fran has written in a leadership capacity, hundreds of sharings, presentations and community letters for a contemplative lay community of the Archdiocese of New York. Fran’s two children, Marianne Therese and Walter Vincent, have always been an inspiration to her. Their creativity and exuberance have encouraged her to find her own sense of expression as she has found in writing children’s books and poems, this one, Uncle Reemo and his Banjo Band is the first one to be published. Fran and her husband, Walter, live in Manalapan New Jersey and enjoy spending time with their two grandchildren, Luke Benjamin and Paige MacKenzie. About the Illustrator Marian Pickman, mother of two daughters and grandmother of seven children, has been a graphic designer and illustrator for over 40 years. She has designed toys, logos, and greeting cards as well as custom portraits and murals. Her previous book, Clarence blooms in Winter, showcased her imaginative illustrations leading to her illustrating Uncle Reemo and his Banjo Band. Marian resides with her husband, Evan, in New York City.
