About the Author

John O’Sullivan is the Chelmsford High School Librarian and an Assistive Technology Specialist for the district. He has worked in the past as a Special Education Teacher and Technology Integration Specialist. He currently holds four certifications in education and has taught under each certification. John has self-published several books. These include the Teacher’s Awesome App Guide, Teaching Projects with Computers and UDL Technology. He wants to be a Director of Technology and Libraries some day.

John comes from a family with a large number of extended family members that have disabilities and have received special education services. His passion is working with technology, helping people with special needs. As a librarian, he believes in the importance of teaching research and literacy skills.  

John Currently lives in Massachusetts outside of Boston. He is available to speak to groups of educators and parents. He can also be hired as a consultant.  

He believes that if you give people the tools and the opportunity you can create a path to success. John believes in leading with high expectation and never fear. He believes that education needs more technology along with a stronger vision of how to integrate it. John believes that understanding people is more important than figuring out the technology.
