About the Author

Paul’s first job was for a road construction company, but the only road he ever learnt to build was the one that led him to a career in the media and which eventually took him to London where he now works.
Paul still maintains his Teesside roots and regularly travels back home to the North East, where he can often be found in his usual seat at the Riverside Stadium on match days.
Undertaking a number of literary adventures, Paul has strolled down Baker Street in the footsteps of Sherlock Holmes, felt the presence of Big Brother outside George Orwell’s former home and soaked up the atmosphere in the churchyard that’s linked to Frankenstein. He’s also marvelled at the magic inside Beatrix Potter’s Hill Top farmhouse and played Pooh sticks on the real Pooh sticks bridge in Hartfield.
Paul has a long standing interest in silent movies and has been fortunate enough to experience a number of these films on a big screen with a live musical accompaniment by a full orchestra.
