About the Author

Angell was born and raised in a small town in the Deep South. Following the receipt of a BA in psychology and sociology from a liberal arts college in the Mid-Atlantic, she continued her educational studies for over a decade. Graduate school enabled her to travel. Each year she applied for scholarships, accepting any offer that enabled her to live in another city.

Four universities later, she ultimately received a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. Angell enjoyed the academic environment. Often quoted as saying, “Had school paid better, I may have never left.”

Her first job was Assistant Professor at a Medical University in Chicago, where she held a medical staff appointment. Moving to a hi-rise in the windy city opened a new world to Angell. For six years she taught medical students interviewing skills.

Yearning to write, the next phase in her life centered around a career in corporate media. Her published work included educational newsletters, annual reports, and promotional literature.

Angell recently left the corporate world and turned her attention to fictional writing. She founded Angell Publishing and decided to move with her partner to Los Angeles.
