The USS Juneau LPD 10 was on a routine training mission at sea when the Wandering Albatross was struck and became a casualty. The captain of the USS Juneau LPD 10 was not happy with the death of the albatross because it is bad luck for sailors to do such things and the captain appropriately fined and penalized the errant naval personnel who killed the albatross.
