About the Author
FRANCIS SCOTT KEY FITZGERALD [1896-1940] wrote novels and short stories.
In 1913, he began studying at Princeton University.
In 1917, he enlisted in the US Army.
In 1919, while serving at Camp Sheridan, he became engaged to Zelda Sayre.
In 1920, he published his first novel This Side of Paradise. It immediately became a bestseller.

He published four novels during his lifetime. A fifth was published posthumously. Additionally he published numerous magazine short stories in The Saturday Evening Post, Collier's Weekly, and Esquire which have been collected and published in book form. He sold the film rights to Hollywood studios. In the latter half of the 1930s he worked in Hollywood as a script writer for Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer.
