Overview

Meet Olive Lily Moews! Olive was between two and four years old when she lived her life depicted through these books. Many of the phrases and words in the script of both books came from her own ideas and comments. Her vocabulary was amazing for her age and her love for kitties was boundless. She has a soft heart, loves to wear dresses so she can dance, and she truly has a love for all animals, even frogs and snails. In this book we share how she lived her idyllic life, dancing, playing with kitties and being a sweet and adorable little girl. The watercolor paintings done for this book were done with determination and plenty of hours of focussed work. The writing was done after the paintings were completed to weave the paintings together in story form. Thank you to her mom Iris who caught her moments in her photography, and shared her cute ways of saying things with me to make this book possible. Sharing these books with others will be our greatest joy!

About the Author

If there is beauty in the ordinary, humor in everyday life and joy in simple pleasures, it can be found in the artistic works of Donna Mae Senft. She discovered the joy of drawing at the tender age of twelve. She is a self taught artist and has taught countless children and adults how to draw and paint. There are subtle intricacies of detail woven into the fabric of her work. The blending of colors to hold the eye and often whimsical and sentimental touches that capture life in watercolor. Her positive spirit and engaging sense of humor have been instrumental in her art and her life. One of her most treasured paintings "Little Souls" a painting of twenty three pairs of childrens shoes, was painted and auctioned off to help raise money to purchase an incubator for the local hospital. Art like music is meant to be shared. For Donna Mae there is no greater joy.
