Tumor Board Review utilizes the knowledge and expertise of oncology specialists to enhance learning the practice of oncology. Description: This is an up-to-date, case-based review of oncology topics presented as an evidence-based discussion.
Purpose: The purpose is to provide a current, case-based review of relevant oncology topics.
Audience: The book is written for physicians at all levels — medical students, residents, oncology fellows, or practitioners — looking to expand their evidence-based knowledge in oncology. As a second year oncology fellow, I found this book extremely helpful in refreshing my memory on a broad range of treatments.
Features: Using a case-based format, the book provides detailed, up-to-date, and evidence-based case discussions leading to decisions in treatment. I was very pleased with the addition of recent clinical trial data, including recent advances in targeted therapies, in addition to treatment algorithms. The discussions are extremely clear and helpful..
Assessment: This is a very high yield and extremely easy to read review. The discussions include recent clinical trial data and well-designed treatment paradigms. I will be using it as a reference.
