Overview

So begins the saga of the Tuatha Dé Danann, the People of Dah’nu, which tells the very first story ever told. Herein lies the creation of the Sidhe, the starting point for a million years of mystery, tragedy, and magic.
Long before Tir Na N’og was divided from the human world, before Rhiannon defeated the Formorii or Kali wove her magical tapestry of tales, the Sidhe were One. The First Age was the age of the Capercaille, the lemur-like ancestors of the Sidhe, who lived in complete harmony with the Gřa. For millions of years, they played and loved on the island of Annwn, until one fateful night when the Ast’ir Mah’rhi fell from the sky and changed the history of the world forever.
The door is open…come hear the tale of the greatest blessing ever bestowed upon the world…and the greatest curse.

About the Author

Lea Ann Douglas is a playwright, poet, and essayist. She is best known for creating the culture, philosophy and language of the World of the Sidhe and its colorful heroine Sionne Angbarad.
Lea Ann has spent her life discovering the Sidhe. The adventure began when she was nine and read the Lord of the Rings books. She found herself wondering: what happened to the Elves? Wanting to know more, she studied tales of the Fair Folk from around the world and began to put together the pieces. The World of the Sidhe is an ongoing creative project that ties together years of research in cultural anthropology, mythology, linguistics, theology, and folklore. Over the past twenty years, the Sidhe have emerged from fact and imagination with their own history, languages, religions, traditions, economics, music, literature, and extensive philosophy.
When not in Tir Na N’og, Lea Ann lives in Virginia with Tim, her favorite bard, and Pečka, the original great-fanged cat.
