Tonya changed three weeks into the outbreak. No one saw it coming but it shouldn't have been a surprise. It could have happened to anyone in the lab.
One minute, she was normal Tonya, preparing a sample, working with her team searching for a treatment, let alone a cure.
The next, she was infected and trying to kill anyone within reach. Once infected, that's what happened. She followed the model.
