I have read most of the works of this author. She paints with words. She creates scenes out of sentences. Her characters live in your mind as you follow them through the events of their lives, all created by the paragraphs she has written. This book is no exception. The main character is Jess, a young man with the gift of being able to heal people. But there are those who would end his use of that gift, those who think he is a somehow a charlatan.
