Transforming The Word: Prophecy, Poetry, and Politics in England, 1650-1742
Police officer Dez Reilly, still reeling from the death of her work partner, goes on a late night call one August night, and saves Jaylynn Savage and her friend, Sara, from two attackers. Jaylynn is immediately attracted to the tall dark, and deadly cop-so much so that she joins the St Paul Police Academy and is eventually assigned Dez as her Field training Officer. Dez has been burned before by getting romantically involved with another cop, so she made a rule that she has lived by for nine years: Cops are off limits. A series of things happen to the two women to test their work relationship. Over time their personal relationship grows, forcing Dez to face the question of whether to break her cardinal rule or remain forever gun shy.
