About the Author

James Anderson is a sports enthusiast who participated on varsity teams of football, basketball, baseball, and track and field while in high school. James is a member of the Westborough High School Athletic Hall of Fame.
While at Springfield College, James played varsity football and tennis. After graduation, James taught physical education in Massachusetts, New York, and Maine for thirty-five years. Upon retirement, his letter of resignation was accepted by the MSAD#72 School Board with regret. The gymnasium where he taught, coached, and officiated was given his name, and is now the James R. Anderson gymnasium at Molly Ockett Middle School.
James is also a Golden Microphone award winner from the state of New Hampshire for sports play-by-play. He has umpired at the state championship level.
James holds a master’s in education from Rivier University and a certificate of advanced graduate study in educational leadership from The University of New England.
