Town of Salvation begins by talking about dealing with guilt in relation to God. Each religion has its method of addressing guilt, and as you consider each, they are all basically the same. Every religion in the world seeks to deal with their guilt by amassing good works to present to God to gain salvation. The reasoning is simple, if you have enough good works, this gets you a pass to enter heaven.

 

By a trip into a town called Salvation, the author shows that this thinking is totally opposite of the teaching of the Bible. He then illustrates how Christianity is different from every other religion of the world because God's salvation requirement is not based on man's good works.
