Overview

Gwen Watson is an eighteen-year-old girl ready to start her college life at the infamous Kingslane University; a school filled with parties, local celebrities, excessive drinking, young lust, and secret factions of students fighting for power, control, and survival with the help of the nearly extinct magic of Shamanism.
As Gwen meets Bright Santos, the viceroy shaman better known as the White Viper, she will find herself pulled into a world of secrets, a life of danger, and inheriting a legacy of death.
Rise of the White Viper is the first installment in the Totem Saga following an unlikely trio as they begin to unravel the mysteries plaguing their city as they come against ghouls, poltergeists, phantoms, and even themselves.

About the Author

Gabriel A. Pino was born and raised in New Jersey. After graduating from high school he moved to Georgia in 2008 where he has lived ever since. He received his B.A. in Modern Languages and Culture with a concentration in Spanish in 2011 and his M.S. in International Policy Management in 2013.

Gabriel doesn’t remember the moment it clicked for him that he wanted to be a writer. What he always knew however was that he loved to tell a story. Whether it was drawing one out when he was six because he didn’t know how to spell, acting in a school play, standing around his group of friends recounting the events of something that happened over the weekend, or as he would find out in his late teens, putting it all down on paper.

Pino is a lover of traveling and learning about different cultures and walks of life. He says it’s where he gets some of his biggest inspirations for what he writes and some of the biggest inspirations for the Totem Saga.

It was a story that came to him in a daydream back in 2011 of a young man holding a strange sword facing down an eight-legged ghoul on a rainy street. From that point on the world the character belonged to and the people in it became a passion project that four years later would result in Totem: Rise of the White Viper, the first of six installments.
