About the Author

Elizabeth Ann Smith was born and raised near Kansas City, Missouri. A graduate of Florida Atlantic University and the University of Missouri, Kansas City. An avid traveler, she has a love of diversity and cultures. As a member of the Screen Actor's Guild, she was an actor in several movies, made TV appearances, and performed stand up comedy in Los Angeles, California. She worked for a private law firm, pharmaceutical companies, and owned her own textile business called Christian Chicks, LLC. In 2005, Elizabeth began experiencing symptoms of ALS or Lou Gherig's disease. She manages her team of caregivers in Loveland, Colorado, where she resides.
Elizabeth is currently writing a series of books to help both caregivers and those receiving care. She writes her books using a special computer and by blinking her eyes to select each letter.
