About the Author

Marilyn Sadler: Marilyn Stadler earned a degree in art but quickly discovered that writing was her true and most satisfying calling. She has since authored over a dozen children's books, including several leveled readers for Random House and picture books for Golden Books.

Lucie Crovatto: Lucie Crovatto studied graphic design at Laval University before beginning her career in editorial illustration. In addition to being the founder of a greeting card company, her designs have appeared in major advertising campaigns and magazines, as well as nearly a dozen children's books.

K-Gr 2—Young Tony Baroni will only eat macaroni no matter what delicious pasta creation his Nonna Sophia makes. Every day he asks for his favorite macaroni for breakfast, lunch, and dinner with butter or cheese, until inevitably he gets sick of it and moves on to another popular meal, pizza. This delightful picture book matches Crovatto's soft illustrations with Sadler's rhyming text, making it a fun read aloud for all ages. The book includes a pasta glossary to introduce readers and listeners to the varied world of pasta. Suggested activites are also included to extend the story into discussion and more learning.
