"TO WHOM SHALL WE GO?" from Great Texts of the Bible, Annotated
James Hastings (1852- 1922) was a Scottish minister and theologian who is best remembered for the writing he did later in life after his active preaching ministry. This selection, "To Whom Shall We Go?" is his exposition on St. John 6:68 from his massive work in several volumes, "Great Texts of the Bible," published in 1912. Gary Roper, D. D., a retired Baptist minister has annotated the selection with explanations of persons and events whose meaning in Dr. Hastings' exhortation might be lost on the modern reader without having changed the original text.
